Wrexham's Ollie Palmer Details 'Deadpool 3' Cameo With Ryan Reynolds

Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer he has a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance next to the owner of his football team Ryan Reynolds in the middle Deadpool and Wolverine.

Palmer, 32, played something else in his previous brief appearance Deadpool 3 hit theaters on Friday, July 26, it said Us Weekly only that there wasn't “much” to say about the movie's bar scene.
“I would say Ryan's [a] really creative guy. He's an amazing writer,” Palmer said while highlighting his relationship with American Crew. “There will be surprises there, I'm sure – and mine may be small. If you blink in some surprise, you might remember me.”
The athlete continued: “It's just a small thing, but it was good. Obviously it was great to be with Ryan. “
When it comes to the possibility of taking on more acting gigs in the future, Palmer is completely on board.
“I'm really open [and] honestly I enjoy being in front of the camera,” he said Us. “Some don't, some hate it. Some people like it and they don't. And some people enjoy it, and I enjoy it – and I hate to watch it. I hate looking at myself, but I actually enjoy it.”
Eagles fans were quick to speculate in April that Palmer had a small cameo in the third Deadpool film after Reynolds, 42, shared a trailer on Instagram. The video opens with Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) meeting at a bar. Over Reynolds' left shoulder was a tall figure, identified by many as Palmer.

“If you squint,” Palmer commented in an Instagram video at the time, seemingly confirming his appearance.
Reynolds, and It's always sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney, bought Wrexham AFC in 2020 and completely transformed the Welsh football team over the last four years. The group's success has been documented in the FX docuseries Welcome to Wrexhamwhich premiered in August 2022 and is gearing up for its fourth season.
Palmer said Us that the “humility” of Reynolds and McElhenney surprised him the most when he first met the stars.
“They were nice to me. They played well for my teammates, my family,” he added. “They are really down to earth people.”
Palmer is married to a wife Caitlin, with whom he has two children, a daughter and a son. He told us how the kids are adjusting to their family's newfound fame thanks to the FX show.
“My son is quite used to it now. My son is healthy and understands. My daughter sometimes makes fun of him,” he explained. Therefore, I must always be on guard. And when I have my family, I like to be with my family.”
When he's not busy with family time, Palmer plays for Wrexham – and thankfully, men's hair care brand American Crew helps him get groomed both on and off the pitch.
“It's a really good product, a product that I enjoyed using before we even decided to do a brand deal,” Palmer said. Us. “It was just a matter of perfect balance.”
