Video gamers will strike out because of AI concerns

The SAG-AFTRA union today went on strike against several video game publishers after failing to reach an agreement on the use of AI. The action will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 26.
“We will not accept a contract that allows companies to abuse AI to the detriment of our members,” said SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher. “Enough is enough. We live — and work — too. We'll be here, ready to negotiate.”
