Steph Curry’s Wife, Ayesha, Was Seen Wiping Tears With Paris Police

Ayesha Currythe wife of a Team USA basketballer Stephen Curryhe was involved in a heated confrontation with the Paris police.

In a video posted on X by The Hollywood FixAyesha, 35, is seen wiping away tears as she tries to get back to her car on Saturday, August 10. The altercation appears to have happened shortly after Stephen’s gold medal win in the men’s basketball final at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

With her newborn son, Caius, strapped to her chest, Ayesha is seen talking to police for about three minutes alongside Steph’s mother, Sonya Curryagain Draymond GreenSteph’s Golden State Warriors teammate.

Green, 34, was heard in the video asking the police, “So even after he hit the kid in the head, there’s still nothing you can do to get them out of here?” It is not clear what Green was referring to as no altercation was recorded on video.

The video begins with Sonya, 58, emotionally asking the police to stop talking to her as Ayesha, who is holding the hand of one of her four children, and Green calmly talking to other police officers.

Sonya then begs Ayesha to join her as she tries to push past the police to reach the squad car. “Somewhere, where all those people are from that side, we were there,” Sonya told the police. “They will not let us go back to where we came from. They won’t allow the driver to come here and they won’t let us go back there.”

Another man in the group, who speaks French and acts as a translator between the police and the Currys, tries to diffuse the situation, telling Sonya that “no one is allowed to cross this road right now.”

As the camera pans out onto the street, police barricades can be seen on all sides as other law enforcement officers surround the area.

The interpreter then conveys to Sonya and Ayesha that the police are “very sorry for what happened,” which heightens Ayesha’s emotions as she is seen to be crying what appears to be tears.

Ayesha, Sonya and Green were all sitting on the sidelines as Stephen won his first Olympic gold medal against France on Saturday. When the game was over, Stephen ran to the yard cheering for his fans.

The happy moment was shared on social media and showed Stephen running before jumping for joy with Ayesha’s son Canon, 6, before kissing Ayesha and their baby.

Along with Canon and Caius, Steph and Ayesha share daughters Riley, 12, and Ryan, 9.

Caius made an “early arrival” when he was born in May, according to a joint Instagram post from the couple at the time. The announcement came just two months after Ayesha revealed that she and Steph were expecting Baby No.
