Simone Biles Wears Mobility Shield After Paris Olympics Injury

Simone Biles he wore a boot on his left foot when he was interviewed by NBC Mike Tirico after his last competition at the Paris Olympics.

“It’s a way to protect ourselves, to make sure, because we still have it [a] visit after this to heal and all those things. So, just a little bit of pain,” he said he told Tirico57, in a scene that aired on Monday, August 5, adding that his calf is “beautiful.”

Earlier in the day, the gymnast, 27, fell during a test while attempting a double triple sit, with a commentator and Team USA alum. Laurie Hernandez seeing that “he lived in a strange way.” Earlier in the Paris Games, Biles had injured her calf ahead of the all-around gymnastics qualifiers. He also recorded his calf before Monday’s routine and walked away with a silver medal.

“I feel like elite athletes are very difficult … for pain or pleasure, we’re ready for anything,” explained Tirico as NBC aired footage of his fall. “Pretty much, what you see here is, I was trying to go around a lot to get a good measure, and I did that and I almost got knocked out. [coach] Laurent [Landi] outside. But it was good.”

Biles, who now has 11 Olympic medals in total, won three gold medals in Paris, winning the women’s all-around, women’s vault and team all-around. The victory marked a triumphant return to the Olympics for Biles, who withdrew from the United States gymnastics team in Tokyo in 2020 after experiencing “the twisties” in the competition. But I’m in a good place mentally and physically, so you can’t take that away from me. So whenever I’m there, it’s just pure joy. I can’t believe I’m out there again, competing, representing my country, just having fun, doing what I love.”

Biles beamed with pride as she wore her four Paris medals posted on Instagram On Monday. (Along with her three golds, Biles won silver in the individual floor exercise competition.)

“Beyond my wildest dreams,” she captioned the photo. her husband, Jonathan Owens, left a sweet message in the comments section, writing, “I’m proud of you baby.” And his sister, Adria, he wrote, “pride is an understatement!! You are a strong person, I love you.”

Biles recently defended Owens, 29, afterward he was criticized for wearing one of his newly won gold medals in a photo shared via Instagram.

“The crazy thing is, I put my medal in front of all my family members and took pictures. so never make assumptions. 🙄,” he wrote. “Since you are all suffering a lot. leave us alone.”
