SDCC 2024: Crazy New Alien: Romulus Footage
[ad_1]
Friday night at San Diego Comic-Con, Hall H was invaded by aliens. Facehuggers jump across the room. The Xenomorphs are stabbing us in the face. Yes, these things happen on screen, but still it was fun.
I Alien The franchise returned to Comic-Con this year to talk about everything that's coming Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Alvarez and starring Cailee Spaeny. Also in attendance were David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. However, since the last trailer was released a few days ago, what could they show?
Yes, two scenes that were previously shown at CinemaCon (read about them here), and a new development Alien fictional while also being incredibly graphic. Read on if you want to see all about it, but if you want to save yourself for next month, consider this your last warning…
As the scene opens, we see Isabela Merced's character, Kay, on the ground, freezing. He gets up and slowly descends the ladder to the rest of his ship. He crawls down the hallway. A loud BOOM comes from outside and is terrifying. He steps on something and we see that it's a small Xenomorph skin, which isn't very good.
On the nearby wall, we see that structure that looks organic almost like a rib. For another Alien movies, we see them all the time, but we never really know what they are, or what they were. Now we know. There's a hole in it that looks, well… let's just say it's pretty private. Kay begins to approach when Bjorn (Spike Fearn) grabs her from behind. He shut her mouth and told her to be quiet. He carefully walks down the spacious hallway and grabs, basically, a wall of cattle. He lights it up and pushes it up into the aforementioned genitalia.
Chaos ensues. There are sparks, screams, fires, just general insanity. He took it out and saw that it was burnt. Acid comes out of the open space. A spike comes out of the opening and quickly-pumps him in the head, killing him. After falling, a full Xenomorph begins to appear in the opening. Head first, then hands. Fingers open slightly. Merced's character has been watching this and tries to get out but the door won't open. Finally, the full Alien appears and is furious. The door opens, he goes through it, stumbles, and falls into the pit.
That made it into a full trailer, similar to the ones we've seen. Then, in the room at Comic-Con, as the panel was about to speak after the trailer, the lights went out. Here's what happened next:
Alien: Romulus opens on August 16.
