A pregnant TikTok star Sydney Nicole Gifford can’t wait to meet her baby boy in early 2025.
“[I’m looking forward to] everything,” Gifford, 24, said to himself Us Weekly at the Miss USA 2024 beauty pageant on Sunday, August 4. “I really like Legos so I think I’m going to be the mother of a big boy. I love Legos and cars and all these things. This is for me.”
Earlier this month, the social media star announced that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Nathan Sloneker.
Although the first trimester was “very difficult” for her, Gifford said she felt good when she showed off her bump on the red carpet for the first time.
“During my first pregnancy when I was nauseous and bloated, I didn’t feel good,” she said. In an August 4 TikTok video, Gifford said her morning sickness lasted all day. She experienced hormonal acne and fatigue that left her “out of breath” in her first trimester.
Gifford also said she struggled for a while to enjoy food without getting sick. “I just felt so angry that I didn’t want to eat,” he shared with his followers. “It was a lot.”
The person who has been by Gifford’s side through thick and thin is his fiancee. Engaged since May 2023, the couple participated in a pregnancy photo shoot together before announcing their news.
Away from the cameras, Sloneker, 24, was making life easy for Gifford.
“He’s been really amazing,” she said wryly. “I loved to cook before I was pregnant and when I’m pregnant, I won’t do that. She has been cooking and cleaning and she has been amazing. I can’t wait for him to be a father.”
As Gifford continues to document her life on social media, she hopes fans will be entertained and inspired by her journey of motherhood. He also wants to remind his followers to “go after” what they want to live the life they want to live.
“I always hoped that I could find a job that I like, fall in love and start a family,” she said. “When you’re young, it seems like a crazy dream but just follow it, work hard and pursue what you want.”
