Popyrin Surging, Korda and Arnaldi Hit Career Highs

Alexei Popyrin achieved a major breakthrough on the big stage in Montreal on Monday, defeating Andrey Rublev to claim his first Masters 1000 title. The 25-year-old Aussie, who became the fourth man in his country to win a Masters title, and the first since 2003, also climbed to -Top 100 ATP rankings this week.

Popyrin jumps 39 places to a career high number 23. He is now the No.2 Aussie behind World No.10 Alex de Minaur and will look to move up this week in Cincinnati, where Gael Monfils will be his first-round opponent on Wednesday in Mason, Ohio.

The top five ATP rankings remain the same but there has been some movement in the top 10, with De Minaur slipping three places from seventh to 10th and Rublev, who finished second in Montreal, from No.8 to No. .6.

Casper Ruud (No.7) and Grigor Dimitrov (No.8) each rose one place.

Korda, Arnaldi Hit Career Highs
