New Hyatt hotels where you can earn an extra 500 points per night
[ad_1]
I stayed at the Hyatt House in Johannesburg Sandton South Africa shortly after it opened in 2021. When I checked my account activity after my stay, I saw an “opening bonus” of 2,000 points. Then I remembered that Hyatt offers 500 bonus points per night for qualifying stays at new hotels.
I unknowingly took advantage as Hyatt does not require members to sign up for this promotion. Maybe you, too, have forgotten about this promotion or never knew about it. In any case, here’s what you need to know about the new World of Hyatt hotel promotion, which allows you to earn 500 bonus points per night.
How to earn 500 Hyatt bonus points per night
This promotion is simple: Hyatt global members receive 500 bonus points per night for qualifying stays at selected hotels from the New-to-the-Hyatt-portfolio. You must stay within a set period of time to earn bonus points, usually in the first few months after the location opens. Specifically, you will only receive bonus points if your check-out date occurs within your hotel’s offer period.
To get bonus points, you must provide your World of Hyatt number at check-in. You must also pay the applicable amount or redeem a free Hyatt award night (including redeeming Hyatt points). You will only earn bonus points for one room per night.
The terms of this promotion notice is that it may take three to four weeks for the bonus points to appear in your account. However, in reality, Hyatt often sends out a new hotel bonus and other points earned during your stay.

Bottom line
In addition to earning 500 extra points per night, staying at a new Hyatt hotel can also be fun as you can stay in a room with new furniture. However, new hotels may still be working on some issues, and not everything on the site may be fully functional.
The current lineup includes six Tier 1 Hyatt hotels, four Tier 2 hotels and one Tier B all-inclusive resort. So, if you’re looking to redeem World of Hyatt points for a stay, you can find plenty of lower tier options in the current list of new hotels.
