Let's Talk About The Deadpool & Wolverine Ending
[ad_1]
Deadpool and Wolverine is now in theaters and gives Marvel fans a lot to talk about. Big revelations, cameos, end credits scenes, this movie has it all. So, let's do just that. Watch out for big, big spoilers
In particular, we'll talk about what happened at the end of the movie, what it might mean going forward, and some general thoughts. Last chance for pirates.
So after joining forces to destroy the Time Ripper, thus defeating Cassandra Nova and saving the timeline, Deadpool and Wolverine are now in Wade's universe, Earth 10005. They question B-15, who has ascended to the surface in the world since then. Loki, if there is any way he can take out the Resistance fighters of the Void (Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Wesley Snipes' Blade, Channing Tatum's Gambit, and Daphne Keen's X-23). He says he will try.
In the final scene of the movie, we see our heroes in Wade and Blind Al's apartment, and X-23 is there, making sure B-15 did what he could. So we know that character is now, officially, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even if it's not yet in the same timeline as the basic MCU. Well, are Elektra, Blade, and Gambit coming out too? And if so, will they play a role moving forward? Our guesses are “Yes they did” and “Maybe they will,” but not until a big moment in the upcoming Avengers movie.
Most importantly, however, Wade succeeded in his quest to save the universe. The timeline has officially stopped dying. However, how does that happen? Did this new Logan anoint the new Leadership? Is it Wade? What other X-Men creatures in this universe have been saved and still alive? We don't have answers to all questions.
And really, that was our general feeling about the ending Deadpool and Wolverine. For the MCU's impact as a whole, it doesn't do much? Of course, it officially adds at least two more popular, awesome characters to the mix. Characters TVA knows well and will obviously use in the future. But how and why? There's no teasing how that will impact things going forward. Even the film's end-credits scene, which is usually where we see that, is an admittedly funny suggestion that Chris Evans' Johnny Storm is dishing out all the insults Wade said earlier in the film.
Yes, it gives the characters and story a fitting emotional and satisfying ending. And there's that dangling thread of Deadpool and Thor sharing some kind of time in the future, but there's no guarantee it'll happen yet.
So, what do you think? In all my excitement did I miss something? What did you learn about how it all went down? Let us know below, spoilers full.
