Katy Perry’s ‘Lifetimes’ Video Under Investigation in Spain

Katy PerryThe free-air “Times of Life” video, shot in Ibiza and across Spain’s Balearic Islands, is being investigated for potential environmental damage.

A press release issued by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment of the Balearic Islands on Tuesday, August 13, states that the company producing the clip “did not request authorization” for the recording.

The document also states that the environmental organization has received “numerous details” about “alleged violations” committed by the production company while filming in the protected sand dunes of S’Espalmador.

The video, released on August 8, was directed by Stillz, a Colombian-American photographer and film director whose real name is. Matias Vasquez.

“It has never happened that the production company requested authorization from the Ministry to do this recording, which is why the first investigation has been started,” said the press release.

It also clarified that unauthorized filming is not a “crime against nature” but a violation of the law.
