Fiverr has announced its acquisition of AutoDS, a subscription-based platform that provides end-to-end solutions for underwriters. AutoDS provides tools for product research and availability, inventory management, and automated fulfillment, serving tens of thousands of paying subscribers worldwide.
Strategic Synergies and Growth
Fiverr’s acquisition of AutoDS is in line with its strategy to expand its offerings beyond the traditional market, evolving into a comprehensive platform that not only engages talented businesses but also provides software solutions to meet their digital needs. This acquisition enhances Fiverr’s position in fast-growing areas such as dropshipping, website development, e-commerce management, and social media marketing.
“AutoDS has built a great product and community that is very engaged with Fiverr. Dropshipping and its related services in marketing and planning are some of the fastest growing categories on Fiverr. And a community focused on Fiverr’s roots, where anyone with talent and brains can use the FIverr platform to build a business,” said Micha Kaufman, founder and CEO of Fiverr.
The role of AutoDS in the Fiverr Ecosystem
Founded in 2018, AutoDS has quickly grown to become a leader in the downsizing industry, with tools that automate key aspects of the downsizing process. The platform supports sourcing from major channels such as Amazon and eBay and provides a central dashboard where users can monitor multiple stores, with automatic price updates as suppliers change prices. The AIWrite tool for AutoDS also optimizes the indexing of hard drives, improving efficiency and robustness.
The acquisition brings tens of thousands of dropshippers into the Fiverr ecosystem, expanding Fiverr’s e-commerce customer base and strengthening its dominance in the dropshipping industry. This move comes at a time when the global shrinking market is facing significant growth, estimated at USD 285 billion by 2023 and expected to exceed USD 2 trillion by 2033.
“Our audience is very similar – ambitious entrepreneurs building and growing their businesses – so the opportunity is clear,” said Lior Pozin, founder and CEO of AutoDS.
AutoDS will continue to operate independently while working closely with Fiverr to develop synergies and maximize growth opportunities.
