Disney Cruise Line is unveiling new villain-inspired spaces and characters coming to Disney Destiny in 2025.

The journey aboard the Disney Destiny will be unique within the growing Disney Cruise Line. Unlike the line’s current newest ship, Disney Wish, where the theme is one of Cinderella-inspired magic and light everywhere you turn, Disney Destiny, which sets sail in 2025, has a “dark” side to the attraction, too.
As all good storytellers know, for a character to rise and become a hero, an opposing force must help propel them there. That duality of good and evil, light and dark, and hero and villain is present in almost every major Disney story … and in its upcoming new ship.
To that end, Disney Destiny welcomes not only the heroes of the stories, but also the villains that help create them. You’ll find those dark, strange characters all over the ship, including some new locations inspired and dedicated to them.

With reservations set to open in the coming months, Disney Cruise Line is dedicating three days this week to Disney Destiny announcements. On Tuesday, the line shared details about Disney Destiny’s “Lion King”-themed new dining experience, the ship’s home port (Port Everglades), its cabins and more.
But brace yourselves, because Wednesday’s announcement is all about villain-inspired slots and characters you’ll get when the ship sets sail in late 2025.

New villain themed rooms
When it launches next year, Disney Destiny will have two new lounges celebrating some of our villainous characters you love to “hate” – and one “fun” themed evil area that you’ll find in Disney Treasure when it launches in December 2024.
De Vil’s piano lounge
New to Disney Cruise Line on Disney Destiny will be De Vil’s piano lounge, themed in red, white, black and the infamous Cruella de Vil herself.

Sometimes, on a big ship, space is everything, and Disney shared that one side of De Vil will open up to the Grand Hall, which will make it very easy to enter before or after doing almost anything else on the ship – like dropping off your kids at the Oceaneer Club.
Based solely on Cruella’s signature colors (and spots), this adults-only resort will also have the glamorous Hollywood style you’d expect from a place this villain would visit.
Inside the lounge, you can expect moody tunes (from a grand piano!), popular cocktails, wine and martinis. After all, Cruella’s downfall was, at least, her pursuit of style, so you shouldn’t expect anything less from her living room.
Cask and Cannon
Yo ho, yo ho, our new pirate themed watering hole!
In addition to the regular drink program, this “Pirates of the Caribbean” themed pub will have an extensive rum menu, including rare and vintage rum options. The menu will also include beer selections created just for the place (and served straight from the barrel, of course), so you’ll have something different to enjoy while watching sports and more on the pub’s TVs.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor
In keeping with the ship’s theme of dichotomy where both light and dark can exist in harmony, expect the return of the Haunted Mansion Parlor and its “fun places”. This haunted parlor will first appear in Disney Treasure later this year and will “materialize” again in Disney Destiny in 2025.
This space replaces the “Star Wars” themed bar, Hyperspace Lounge, which is only available on Disney Wish.
This resort brings the magic, humor and style of the classic Haunted Mansion attraction to the Disney parks but does so in a first class drawing room setting from the golden age of ocean liners.
Don’t be surprised if some old characters from the Haunted Mansion attraction, along with some of their new beach friends, come out to hang out while you enjoy their bar and spooky drinks.

New ways to interact with the bad guys on board
It’s not all about pictures and meet and greets with Mickey and the beautiful princesses in Disney Destiny.
And riding on board will be characters with a complex history. Think Maleficent, Hades, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Oogie Boogie, Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno and my personal favorite, Loki.
Cruisers will also have new ways to interact with these characters, such as (interrupted) trivia events and even dance parties in Oogie Boogie’s shipboard space.
Villains enter the AquaMouse storyline
The 760-foot on-deck water ride, AquaMouse, will be on Disney Destiny, as well as on Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. However, this time, it will feature a new fourth show featuring villains from the Disney Animation Archive and featuring a soundtrack written exclusively by Disney Cruise Line.
In the new story “Sing a Silly Song”, Mickey and Minnie will reach the top of Villain Mountain, where you can meet famous favorites such as the Queen of Hearts (“Alice in Wonderland”), Scar (“The Lion King” ) and Chernabog (“Fantasia”).
Bottom line
With five ships currently sailing guests everywhere from the Mediterranean to Alaska and four more ships busy on the way, Disney Cruise Line is in rapid growth mode. However, it is not just a “copy-paste” pressure as it grows from one vessel to another. Instead, so far, the line is doing a great job of providing each ship with unique offerings and areas of their own, such as relying not only on the heroes but also the villains in this upcoming new ship.
Stay tuned on Thursday, as Disney announces more information about Disney Destiny and some of the ways the experience will be.
