DJ and Stephanie Tanner have been on and off for decades – but things have changed. Candace Cameron Bure again Jodie Sweetinrelationship?
Cameron Bure, Sweetin and the cast of Full house – which also includes John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, Lori Loughlin, Mary-Kate again Ashley Olsen, and the late Bob Saget— have made headlines for reunions since the original sitcom ended in 1995.
“We have experienced everything a real family can experience. Pickups, cancellations, weddings, divorces, births, deaths. I mean it's pretty good what every family goes through. And we're together on everything,” Coulier said at the 90s Con of the dynamic group in March 2022, two months after Saget's death. “It's amazing to have a group of people in our lives like this, where we know we're going to get this support system right away. It is very special.”
Despite being on opposite sides of politics – Cameron Bure has been vocal about conservation while Sweetin is a liberal who criticized the former. President Donald Trump – the on-screen sisters seem to be putting their differences aside (at least in public). While Cameron Bure was criticized for comments about leaving Hallmark Channel's Great American Family, however, things seem to have changed.
“I knew that the people behind America's Greatest Family were Christians who loved the Lord and wanted to promote programs of faith and good family fun,” Make It Or Break It alum told The WSJ of the Wall Street Journal. Magazine in November 2022, adding that the network will “keep traditional marriage in context” when asked about LGBTQIA+ movies.
Sweetin is supported later JoJo Siwa – who publicly feuded with Cameron Bure earlier that year after the Nickelodeon alum called the actress the most rude celebrity she's ever met – while Siwa criticized Cameron Bure's comments. The first one Aurora Teagarden The star addressed the controversy in a lengthy statement at the time.
“I would like to talk about my comments about the Great American Family show as reported in the Wall Street Journal. All of you who don't know me, know without a doubt that I have great love and affection for all people. It breaks my heart that anyone would ever think that I would intentionally want to offend or hurt anyone. It saddens me that the media often wants to divide us, even with a comforting and joyful story like Christmas movies. But, given the toxic state of our culture right now, I shouldn't be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever,” he wrote. “I am a devout Christian. Which means I believe that everyone has an image of God. Because of that, I am called to love all people, and I do. If you know me, you know that I am a person who likes to be aggressive. My heart yearns to build bridges and bring people one step closer to God, to love others well, and just to be an expression of God's great love for all of us.”
Cameron Bure continued: “I have wanted to find a home for faith-based programs for a long time. Thank you for being an important part of a new and growing network. I also expressed in my speech, which was not included, that people of all races and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network in great ways in front of and behind the camera, which I fully encourage and support. I have never been interested in converting people by telling my stories, but to celebrate the greatness of God in our lives through the stories I tell. The God we worship is a creative and loving God. He didn't just take a small part of my heart, He took my whole heart. You will be seen in everything I do and say; in my family, my work and my dealings with people from all walks of life, God's love and God's compassion are at the forefront.”
Days later, Sweetin doubled down and reposted Holly Robinson Peete's comments about the situation.
“There was a time when the words 'tradition' and 'tradition' were used to denigrate others … And to justify discriminatory laws such as it was not 'traditional' for people to intermarry,” Peete wrote. So when we hear the words 'traditional' marriage to describe a type of marriage, it undermines the love and commitment that many married people have for each other and causes many of us to remember how the word 'culture' was covered by Christianity and we were basically told that God does not want equality for everyone.”
Kozi's fans then discovered that Cameron Bure unfollowed Sweetin on the social media app.
