Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Ellie Dubai still caught in a love triangle with Joe Bradley where he has high level hunters in his DMs.
On the Monday, August 5, episode of Bravo’s hit show, Ellie overheard Joe teasing their love triangle with Brian Muller. Joe sang the “you already have” Bri and he was going to have Ellie next.
“I heard about Joe playing the piano,” Bri told Ellie after she got wind of the drama. “I’m sorry.”
Ellie made it clear that she didn’t blame Bri, saying, “No, she was really taking us both out. I didn’t want to say anything to you. I didn’t want to upset you.”
After Bri asked who Joe “thinks” could do that, Ellie let some interesting details slip about her personal life.
“Of course. I was like, ‘Bitch, I’m getting NFL players in my DMs!’” Ellie shrugged about having options other than Joe.
Ellie’s insight into her dating history comes as she finds herself in a love triangle with Bri over Joe. Season 9 started with Joe and Ellie expressing interest in each other. Lead Deckhand also found himself flirting with – and later hooking up with – Bri.
“There was a bit of a miscommunication at first because Bri was attracted to him – but she didn’t tell me that,” Ellie said to herself. Us Weekly in June. “I felt like I made it more clear to him in some of the conversations we had.”
As the drama played out on screen, Ellie blamed Joe for many of the problems.
“Yes 100 percent [he is at fault],” he said. “After a while, I realized that it might have been Joe who was playing for both teams. Because even watching the 2nd episode where he was going back and forth, I didn’t realize how much he was earning her.”
A second source added: “Because all the news that came back to me was like, ‘Oh, Bri likes Joe.’ He doesn’t really care about her. He wants you.’ It was like, ‘Oh, he was throwing himself at her.’ But then I realized that he might be the one who instigated it.”
Joe, however, would not take all the blame, he said Us after one month, “I could have played it differently. But, obviously, my intention was not to be disrespectful in any way, shape or form. And I can’t believe I was disrespectful.”
According to Joe, he communicated as best he could.
“I’m still testing. We are here [in the] early days,” he said. “I have to know who you are. I only have a conversation. It’s funny. Even when I come out [in] Liverpool, the flirting game is up here. It is possible [Ellie] it is not used to a tense environment, but I do not agree with it.”
Joe apologized during Monday’s episode for making fun of a love triangle with a song. She told Ellie that her behavior made her “upset” before accepting his apology.
“I can forgive Joe because he seems to regret it. He has not grown up a bit and maybe his ego took a bit,” he said in the confessional. “But I don’t think he was coming from a cruel place so I’m happy to forget the whole situation.”
The episode ended with the mid-season trailer – which Us was released exclusively early Monday – that promised a lot of tension with the arrival of a new stew Carrie O’Neill. Based on all season premieres, Joe will make a move on Carrie, which doesn’t go down well with Bri.
“I already have two [stews]. I don’t have it anymore,” Joe told his friend who was traveling with him Nathan Gallagher. At the time, Bri expressed her frustration with Joe, adding, “I was the starter, Ellie was the lead and now she’s the dessert.”
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 pm ET. New episodes are broadcast the next day on Pigogo.
