The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback won his young fans as he signed a football at the NFL training camp, with a photo shared by the team’s official Instagram account on Friday, August 16.
In the photos, the athlete, 28, can be seen walking through a line of adoring fans as he signed autographs and cheered him on.
The clip is simply captioned, “QB1” with a hand holding a pen emoji accompanying it.
Mahomes and his Chiefs teammates are at the tail end of their summer training camp, where they’ve been sweating it out for a month in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
Away from the field, the player is a father of two, he shares daughters Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 20 months old, with his wife. Brittany, 28. The couple also has another child on the way, which they announced on Instagram in July 2024.
Speaking to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs press conference on July 17, 2024 following the baby announcement, Mahomes confirmed that it would be the last child of the two.
“I’m done, I’ll say that,” he said. “I said three and I’m done.”
Although Mahomes does not want to expand his family further, the sports star admitted in a press conference that he loves being a father.
“It’s exciting … I’ve always wanted to have kids,” Mahomes said. “I grew up in the locker room and it had a big impact on my life. We’re on our third child now … Brittany is doing a great job of doing that and we’re still going out and enjoying our lives.”
Patrick and Brittany have been together since they met in high school in Texas when they were teenagers. They welcomed their first child in 2020 and later tied the knot in Hawaii in March 2022.
Appearing on an episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast in May 2024, Mahomes had nothing but praise for his parent’s parenting skills.
“I think people don’t even realize how much he does,” he said. “I mean, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and doing it where I can focus on football and focus on my career and everything like that.”
He added, “[She’s] Hall of Fame Mother and Hall of Fame Wife, [which] makes it very easy. I mean, when you come home and your best friend is there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time and push me to be great and do a lot of good things on her own. “
