Brandon Sklenar Teases What Will Happen in the Final Season of 1923

Brandon Sklenarstarring Spencer Dutton is a Paramount+ hit 1923is currently in the midst of filming the series’ second and final season — and has dropped some hints about her character’s fate.
In a recent interview no ForbesSklenar, 34, spoke about what he knows about the show’s final season, five days before it began shooting in Austin, Texas.
“I can say with certainty that it will be absolutely amazing,” he revealed. “The tone changes a lot and it’s definitely a little darker. It is very good.”
Followers of Yellowstone spinoff left last season when Sklenar’s Spencer was arrested and separated from love interest Alex (Julia Schlaepfer), who vowed to meet him again in Montana. Talking to ForbesSklenar admitted that he will be getting some screen time with his costars Helen Mirren again Harrison Ford (representing his aunt and uncle, the matriarch and patriarch of the Dutton family) in the new season – which he didn’t get in the first season, suggesting that he will indeed return to the family farm.
“It’s very hard for me not to give away any spoilers,” he noted, but added, “I’m getting a lot of Helen and Harrison time, and it’s going to be special. I mean, the ending of this series is probably one of the best things I’ve ever read in my life.”
“I knew how it was going to end from day one,” he continued. “[Show creator] Taylor [Sheridan] he told me. I knew Spencer’s perfect arc from day one…so excited. “
Sklenar can currently be seen playing nearby Blake Lively in the new film It ends with uswhich hit theaters on Friday, August 8. He narrated Forbes that, as of late, he’s “just enjoying working with great directors and great actors, and continuing to learn and grow.” I would like to direct sometime in the next five years. I’m just trying to learn.”
As for his bucket list? “Little kid to me, I’d like to do a proper western — a proper, straight western — which has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’ve touched on it a little bit in 1923, but that’s something I’d like to do.”
While the premiere date of season 2 of 1923 has yet to be announced, production reportedly began in Central Texas last month.
