General Hospital’s Emme Rylan Confirms Her Role As Lulu Recasts

“Yes, it is true. GH has decided to take Lulu out again,” Rylan, 43, wrote on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 6. “Although I’m very disappointed with their choice, I’m glad I finally got closure. (And thank goodness GH for bringing all you beautiful people into my life! Love each other!).”
Rylan shared another video where he tried to distract himself from the news by making necklaces with his daughter. “I love you all so much, and I love all your messages,” Rylan, who shares three children with his partner Don Moneyadded.
The actress spent seven years playing Lulu, who is currently in a coma following the Floating Rib explosion in the 2020 episode of the show. Fans were wondering if the actor would regain his senses and return to Port Charles after the notice was issued.
The call was for a character named Lauren who is described as beautiful, strong and fiery. In accordance with TV Insider, the breakdown highlighted how Lauren “overcame challenging situations” and is now “stronger and more determined than ever.” Black and white actors between the ages of 34 and 40 are urged to apply.

Ryan has considered getting a role in Port Charles.

He continued: “My understanding is that if they choose to wake him up, they call me.” That can always change. Who knows? But that’s my understanding. If they want to wake him up, they will call me. That’s a lot I know and I haven’t heard anything about them.”
Lula has yet to officially act in the episodes that will start filming in September. That means fans won’t be introduced to the new version of the character on screen until October at the earliest.
