The US Open will award a record $75 million in player compensation this year, with first-round prize money reaching $100,000 per player for the first time.

The early increases announced by the USTA include both qualifying and the main draw of the Grand Slam court in New York. The $100,000 figure to reach the first round is up 72 percent from five years ago, when it was $58,000. Those who lose in the final qualifying round this year will take home $52,000, a 63 percent increase from $32,000 in 2019.

There was also an increase in the prize money for those players who entered the competition. New York’s men’s and women’s singles champions will receive $3.6 million each, a 20 percent increase from 2023. The singles finalists will earn $1,800,000.
