The Last of Us Season 2 Premiere Shows Pain to Come

We may have to wait a while to see it, but tonight HBO gave us our first good look The Last of Us‘ back to work, and it looks like we’re in a world of hurt.
It was released as part of an extended tease for the upcoming mid-year The House of the BeastTonight’s season finale (stay tuned for a recap tomorrow!) new footage is short, but offers some interesting hints as to how the season premiere will adapt from the Naughty Dog sequel.

The video not only offers new glimpses of what Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey Joel and Ellie are up to (having a bad time, for the most part), but glimpses of major new and returning characters, including Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna), who appears to be our first glimpses at Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), Dina (Isabela Merced), and Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as Isaac in the show. We also get our first glimpse of Catharine O’Hara’s mysterious new self, who asks Joel an interesting question, seemingly about Ellie: “Did you hurt her?”
